Scott Hice
Commander - Air Force

Scott Hice was elected Commander on 31 May 2021 and re-elected on 18 April 2022 in Niceville, Florida.

He joined the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Crestview, Florida, Crestview Post 5450 in 2007 and is a Gold Legacy Life Member.  Scott served as Commander for 4 years from 2013-2017 and has been awarded All-State and All-American Commander multiple times.  He has also served in many post chairs.

Scott has served many chairs in the District to include District 1 Commander from 2017-2020 and awarded All State & All-American multiple times.

He served as Assistant State Membership Director from 2016-2019, State Membership Director 2019-2021 and currently serves this role.

Scott was elected to the office of State Surgeon at the 2022 Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Florida Convention in Orlando, Florida.

He is a proud member of the Military Order of the Cooties (MOC), Pup Tent 59 in Milton, Florida.

In 2021, Scott spearheaded the Institution of a new VFW Post, 12204 where he was elected & serves as Post Commander and the Post received All State and All-American recognition their first year. He has been the National Deputy Chief of Staff in 2019-2020 and National Aide de Camp multiple times.

Scott is an Iraqi War veteran and served in the Medical Field in the US Air Force for 22 years. He retired at Eglin AFB, Florida in 2009.

Scott and his wife Trish live in Crestview, Florida; they have 6 children and 6 grandchildren.
